Hello Everyone and Welcome to the Crossman Press Blog! I am so excited to be carrying on the Crossman Family tradition of creativity and imagination. I am proud of my parents, Jean and Gary Crossman, who were duck decoy carvers on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland. They branched out from wooden ducks to Folk Art Animals like Raccoon, Fox, Cat, and Kitty (who are now lovable characters in my children’s picture books).
Book #1 in my Folk Art Animals series is Raccoon Needs a Friend, published in June 2024. In this first book, we meet shy little Raccoon who learns to face his fears and be brave enough to make new friends.
Right now, I am working on Book #2 in the Folk Art Animals series. This book will feature Fox who is a very friendly yet very impulsive and hyper-active character. Will Fox be able to get himself focused? We’ll find out in early November 2024 when this book is published!
